Through a colossal glowing cloud,
And towering pillars of dust.

My screams seemingly non-existent
In this endless void,

Through formidable countless days,
Spectres of dead stars beaming,
Whilst the eye of a galaxy keeps on gleaming,
Reflecting in their eyes
The universe encapsulated.

A hopeless existence, drifting through the emptiness of the universe, writhing aimlessly, no sense of time or place,
Blinded by the chaos, confusion of senses as your lifeless body aimlessly drifts through the surrounding darkness

Stranded on a distant planet in the rain,
missing someone,
lonely and hopelessly working towards an escape.
Silent spears through space and time,
Like shards of ice breaking the hours that decelerate
into a seeming eternity,
Lights in the distance
reminding me of my isolation
The Stars are so far yet so near,
Dying before our eyes
My vision is weakened by the downpour,
I cannot find my way,
The rain of a million galaxies is falling,
Along with my demise, An isolated departure,
covered by cosmic dust.

Luminous stellar explosions surrounding
Leaving behind a black abyss,
A sinkhole of apathy.
Drowned out voices,
Do they exist out here?
Violent luminosity expelled,
Before the slow dimming of our eyes.

I inhale the dust of clouds
Within a molecular haze,
Existence is obscure and shadows will veil my conscience,
Trapped in a vacuum questioning reality,
The infinite density of mankind faded from sight long ago,
Vacant light can't pierce through this molecular haze,
A mind imprisoned by vacuous uncertainty,
I exhale the last breathe of oxygen depleted air,
my lungs filled with the dust of a thousand clouds,
obstructing, tearing life away.

Dans The Density Parameter, Mesarthim reprend tous les ingrédients qui font leur marque de fabrique : des pistes assez longues au rythme énergique (très palpable sur "Recombination" par exemple) et jouant sur des structures cycliques, un chant qui erre parmi les étoiles... Les ambiances sont prolifiques mais elles changent la donne : gracieuses, certes, mais surtout plus mélancoliques qu'autrefois. The Density Parameter est un peu la dernière bouffée d'oxygène que donne la combinaison spatiale.
